Greater Louisville Cross Country was created to provide affordable racing options for area elementary & middle schools. I encourage your program to become part of this exciting opportunity.
Greater Louisville Cross Country will host an all-comer meet each week during the 2017 cross country season. The series begins Aug. 21 and ends Oct. 11.
The weekly all-comer series will feature middle school, 5th & under, 3rd & under, and K-1st races. The cost to compete is a $225 deposit, which is refunded at the end of the season if schools compete in the entire series. That’s right, the series is free. In addition, as the series grows, GLCC hopes to share revenue with participating schools. If the 2017 season is successful, starting in 2018, GLCC will share a large percentage of the revenue earned with coaches and schools. Space is limited and your spot will be secured once the deposit has been received. Payments will be made to Greater Louisville Cross Country.
Every runner who participates receives a medal. The top 10 finishers in the championship event at the end of the season will also receive additional awards.
All age-group races will be capped at about 125 runners (about 25-30 schools per meet).
Online registration for all races will be on www.kytrackxc.com at glccseries.milesplit.com this summer. The registration will be password protected and teams will not be allowed to register athletes until deposit has been paid. Coaches will e-mail the GLCC with an estimated number of athletes competing to obtain the password. For additional information, send questions or comments to email@example.com. We hope to see you the races.
