Thank you for entering the 2017 Greater Louisville Cross Country Series. We are two weeks from what we hope is an exciting series for your programs. Below is some info about the series.
All important information will be sent through e-mail and posted at www.glccseries.com. We will also feature articles, profiles, pictures, and race results on our site during the season. Results will also be posted on Milesplit and www.wilderresults.com.
Based on the number of teams entered and nearly every team requesting Monday, all races are on Mondays, except for Sept. 6 and Oct. 4, which are Wednesdays. In the event of severe weather, Wednesdays will serve as make-up days, except those two weeks we run on Wednesday. There will be no make-up those two weeks.
If you have not done so, please mail deposits ($225) to the address below. All deposits are returned at the last race.

Tentative Race Schedule
Race times are subject to change and we will have a rolling start, beginning the next race as soon as the previous has ended.
Register your team
Don’t forget to register your team on Milesplit. You do not need to enter athletes, but do register your team. Our timer will download your rosters and use those each week. You athletes will use the same number each week.
We will use bibs for the series, which will be distributed at the first race. We encourage coaches to collect bibs and pins after each race for reuse. We will not redistribute bibs each week, however, if bibs are lost, destroyed, or you need more pins, we will have those available.
I’ve attached tentative course maps for each distance.
When you enter the park, we will be directing traffic to the grass area near the tennis courts for parking. I don’t foresee it being an issue, but please direct parents not to park on Mary Dell Lane.
We are charging a $5 admission. At times, parents complain about having to pay to attend cross country races (even though all other sports charge admission). Please remind your parents this series is free to schools and the admission, concession, and T-shirt sales is what’s covering the cost of the series (costs include: timer, workers, starter, park rental, supplies, portable restrooms, awards, etc.)
T-Shirts and Medals
I’ve attached images of the medals and T-shirts. The medals are custom. T-shirts will sell for $15 at the meet. If things work out, I hope to have T-shirts for sale on our web site at a discounted rate the week before the first race.
We are in negotiations with a food truck and hope to have one present for the series to handle concessions. We will sell Gatorade and water.
We will have a goodie bag for coaches
If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me anytime.
